Celebrating Public Lands Through Pictures
In the western half of the US more than half the land is publicly owned, amounting to the world's largest land trust.  Within these lands are some of the most spectacular and beautiful landscapes anywhere as well as small but sublime glimpses, the intimate landscapes of the natural world.  Some of these lands are famous, some are little known. Some are vast and some are not; some are remote and some are local to wherever we are. Photographing in these places, being there, is and has been an experience in itself.
These photographs are not intended as documentary nor travelogue: they are just impressions of place and expressions of love for the places themselves. More on that in "About" below.
